We will be open on Memorial Day from 10am – 4pm and what better reason than Memorial Day to have a BBQ and invite all of you to join us!
The B-B-Q will start at Noon and in true fashion Carne Asada and Pollo Asada will be served (lol)…. If you would like to bring chips or salsa or perhaps dessert to share that would be great! Please bring your own drinks…
In support of our troops The Bouncing Bead will donate 10% of all product sales on Memorial Day to Operation Home Front.
In order to plan for the food please RSVP webmaster@thebouncingbead.com (not necessary but I just want to get an idea for the amount of food to prepare and if you’re not sure send me a “maybe”)
This is going to be FUN!!!!! I look forward to seeing you on Monday!
Have you seen the Classes by Request page? These are classes that we will take down names for and when there is enough interest we will schedule a class! I will be adding to it for an even broader selection of classes you can take from us. Check it out! Classes by Request
Maveh is our very first winner of our “Ask a Question Win $10″ contest!
Here is her question:
Hello, I have often come up with an inspired design in my head, and then do not consider the weight (or strength) of the wire I choose. Sometimes, when the necklace is finished, It seems not to “hang” correctly because the wire is too thin. What should I consider when picking my wire?
Maveh
Here is Laura’s answer:
Great question…. I would be looking and feeling the weight of the beads and when in doubt, use the Medium (Softflex) and that way you can cover your bases. Many of my necklaces/bracelets are strung with the Fine (Softflex) and are usually no longer than 20″. If my necklace goes beyond 24″ then no matter the size or weight of the bead I use the Medium.
Hope this helps!
